At the Manfrediana in Faenza on Monday 22 April “Growing up as readers: the future of reading between school and library”

On Monday 22 April, at 5pm, the Manfrediana Library in Faenza hosts a moment of reflection on education and the promotion of reading for girls and boys entitled Raising readers: the future of reading between school and library.

The children’s writer is expected in the afternoon Davide Morosinotto, Monica Fanicchiof the Ibby Italia Board of Directors e Silvia Pognante, literature teacher and Writing and Reading Workshop expert. The works will be introduced by Fiammetta Sabbaprofessor of the Department of Cultural Heritage and students of the Master’s Degree course in Book and Document Sciences.

Manfrediana’s proposal is part of the project “I’m coming too. For knowledge without barriers”conceived by the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Bologna to bring the role of culture and the spaces that promote and disseminate it back to the center of attention, after the disasters caused by last year’s floods.

The moment at the Faenza library falls within the scope of a series of five appointments scheduled from 20 April to the end of June in five municipalities in the Ravenna area where initiatives will be organized to discuss the role of culture and the spaces that promote it, organized and coordinated by the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Bologna in close synergy with libraries and museums Romagna.

At the end of the initiative, an aperitif will be offered for all participants.
