Exciting regional awards ceremony in Potenza of the national competition “Eplibriamoci” at the Casa Bcc Basilicata Auditorium. “Non-violence against women” was the theme chosen by Ente Pro Loco Italiane for the third edition addressed by the participating students of the third year of middle school of the “San Giovanni Bosco” comprehensive institute of Maschito (Pz), of the all-inclusive institute of Stigliano – plexus of Accettura (Mt), of the “San Pio da Pietrelcina” Comprehensive Institute of Pisticci (Mt) and of the all-inclusive institute of Marsicovetere (Pz). The Lucanian ceremony presided over by the regional President of the Pro Loco Basilicata body Rocco Franciosa was attended by Giorgio Costantino, General Director of Bcc Basilicata, the President of the Regional Commission for Equal Opportunities of Basilicata – CRPO Margherita Perretti, the Councilor for Equal Opportunities of the Municipality of Potenza Vittoria Rotunno and the vice-president regional Pro Loco Body Basilicata Aps Maria Teresa Romeo and the members of the regional jury Rossella Centrone, President of the Unesco Club of Vulture Elenia Marchetto journalist, Pina Passarella doctor of medicine and Angela Lamanna teacher and President Pro Loco Palazzo San Gervasio. The Lucanian winners of the third edition of “Eplibriamoci Basilicata” are: First place with the poem “The Error” the student Marianna Barbalinardo of the San Pio da Pietrelcina comprehensive school in Pisticci (Mt), second place the student Ilaria Musacchio Stregone from the San Giovanni Bosco comprehensive institute in Maschito (PZ) and third place went to the student Gaia Ramagnano from the all-inclusive institute in Marsicovetere (Pz).
The jury decided to award the “Special Mention” to the Third A Class of the Accettura (Mt) complex of the all-inclusive institute of Stigliano (Mt). Present at the award ceremony were the Mayor of Marsicovetere (Pz) Marco Zippari, the Mayor of Maschito (Pz) Luigi Rafti, the President of Pro Loco Pisticci Beniamino Laurenza, the President of Pro Loco Campomaggiore Alessandro Balsamo, the President of the ALBA Association of Marsicovetere Isabella Briglia, the OECD President of Magna Graecia Giuseppe Barberino, the President of the Pro Loco Maschito Aps body Michele Bisaccia, the school director Maria Di Bello with the teachers Stella Calandriello and Daniele Quercia of the San Pio da Pietrelcina Comprehensive Institute of Pisticci (Mt), the teachers Carla Galli, Linda Conversano and Monica Granieri of the San Giovanni Bosco Comprehensive Institute of Maschito (Pz), the teachers Maria Rosa Viola and Gino Marino of the Marsicovetere Comprehensive Institute (Pz), the teachers Lucia Auletta and Vullo Maria Silvia of the Stigliano Comprehensive Institute (Mt). The Regional President of the Pro Loco Basilicata Rocco Franciosa, in thanking the enthusiastic participation of the Lucanian schools, applauding the winners and all the numerous participants for the work carried out on the delicate and heartfelt topic of “Non-violence against women”, announced that ” the first place Marianna Barbalinardo is the national finalist of the 2024 edition of Eplibriamoci promoted by the Epli Aps Network which will be held in the Senate of the Republic – Sala Zuccari of Palazzo Giustiniani on 23 April on the occasion of the “UNESCO World Book and Copyright Day “under the patronage of the Senate of the Republic, of the Ministry of Culture of the Italian National UNESCO Commission and of the Center for books and reading”.
The winners were given the commemorative plaque and all the participants were given the Certificate of Merit with a copy of the painting “Free to Be” created by the Vice President of the Pro Loco Basilicata Aps Maria Teresa Romeo aka Oemor and the “artistic boat” with dedication.
