After 4 and a half years at the helm of the Trapani Police Headquarters, Dr. Salvatore La Rosa will leave the province on May 5th. Last March 26, the Council of Ministers, upon proposal of the Minister of the Interior, appointed Dr. The Rose General Director of Public Security: a personal achievement and a professional recognition that culminate a prestigious and multifaceted path, characterized by a diversification of the roles gradually assumed, always in difficult territorial contexts – often conditioned by the pervasive presence of organized crime – where Dr.

La Rosa has distinguished himself not only for his brilliant operational results in the field of judicial police, but also for his excellent management of events and phenomena – such as migration – which are particularly complex in terms of public order and security. Numerous and important are the tasks that have punctuated the long career of Dr. from the very first years of his service. La Rosa who directed the police stations of Priolo Gargallo, Avola, Noto in the province of Syracuse and, subsequently, those of Lamezia Terme (CZ) and Gela.

Further important positions were those at the Flying Squad of Syracuse and, again in the Aretusea city, that of Chief of Staff of the Police Headquarters from 2007 to 2012, the year in which he assumed the functions of Vicar of the Police Commissioner of Messina. Promoted to Senior Manager in 2017, he assumed the functions of Police Commissioner of the province of Ragusa, remaining there until 11 November 2019, the date on which he was entrusted with the management of the Police Headquarters of Trapani. From 6 May, La Rosa will assume the role of Ministerial Advisor at the Central Directorate for General Affairs and Personnel Policies of the State Police of the Department of Public Security.
