Joint controls Vicenza: an illegal foreigner expelled

During yesterday morning, in Vicenza, targeted joint checks were implemented in various areas of the city of Vicenza. Controls aimed at preventing and combating widespread crime, drug dealing and irregular immigration.

Monitor, in particular, the CD area. “Quadrilatero”, Campo Marzo, Via Gorizia, Corso Santi Felice e Fortunato. In addition to the area close to the railway station, the one near the bus station and the more central areas close to Corso Palladio.

The police forces of Vicenza, in synergy between the Police Headquarters (Volantes and Immigration Office), the Crime Prevention Department of Padua, the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri, the Railway Police and the Local Police, carried out the operation.

The results:

  • 157 people identified/controlledof which 28 foreigners And 30 with criminal and/or police records. Control yourself 14 vehicles And 2 public establishments/bars.

The agents of the Vicenza Police Headquarters tracked down a Moroccan citizen born in 1993 in Campo Marzo. The man, who was illegally on the national territory, had requested refugee status. However, the relevant authorities rejected his application.

For this reason, the agents of the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters expelled him from the national territory. The officers took the man to Bologna airport, where they boarded him on a flight to Morocco yesterday.
