Sule spina, written and directed by Daniele Falleri, starring Urbano Barberini, and featuring Gianluca Sotgiu, is a text born in 1997 but still surprisingly relevant, arriving at the OFF/OFF Theater from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st April 2024.

Dramatic insights into reality but developed with a frank and overwhelming ironic filter. The plot unfolds through probable but unpredictable situations, so much so that it continually surprises the viewer with a series of twists, which make the story take on the semblance of a thriller. Silio, an aspiring actor, a bullied ex-adolescent, sexually uncertain, after having spent his entire life continuously searching for a denied affection, decides to take control of the situation and force events in his favor. Driven by a lucid madness, he changes the destinies of his family, passing unscathed through situations bordering on a heart attack. The events evoke dramatically current news episodes, among others the adolescent scourge of bullying. What repercussions can the never-healed wound of harassment suffered as a child have on the life of an adult? Will victims and executioners live eternally on thorns or will they manage to overcome them?

Franca Valeri wrote that: “SULLE SPINE is a very comical and very cruel show, very everyday and surreal enough to favor the spectator’s enjoyment as would be the formula of true theatrical comedy”.
