Collision between two cars in Viterbo, midwife dies

A midwife from the Terni hospital, Luisella Pallozzi, died yesterday following an accident in Viterbo. The 54-year-old woman, resident in Narni, was in a car, driven by her sister, together with her two children and a third young man headed, it seems, to Bagnoregio for lunch. Around 1pm the car, for reasons still being ascertained, reached the intersection between Strada Ombrone and Strada Teverina and collided with another car in which there were three people.

During the impact, the car in which the 54-year-old was traveling went off the road and overturned and the woman was thrown out.

Rescued by 118 health workers, her condition immediately appeared serious. She was transported to the Belcolle hospital, where there was nothing that could be done for her.

His 22-year-old daughter was also seriously injured and underwent surgery. The girl is hospitalized in Belcolle with a reserved prognosis. Milder consequences for others involved in the accident.

The firefighters and local police were also present on site.

The woman’s body is available to the judicial authorities for any medical-legal investigations. The news of her death shook the two communities of Narni and Terni where the woman was well known and esteemed for her professional activity.
