New Active Aging alert. The deadlines for submitting project proposals are open from 3 to 18 May – Welfare, rights and citizenship

With Resolution of the General Director of AReSS n. 69 of 9.04.2024, the public notice was approved for the implementation of projects aimed at promoting and enhancing active aging and good health referred to in LR 16/2019 (2024 guidelines referred to in Del. GR n. 1850 of 11/12/2023).

The notice is part of the regional planning for the promotion of active aging, provided for by law 16/2019 and the V Plan of Social Policies 2022/2024. The implementation of the interventions is entrusted to AReSS, identified as the implementing body for the 2024 year.

Three lines of intervention promoted by the Notice
Line A – Sports and leisure

  • physical activity initiatives carried out in groups under the guidance of qualified individuals for the improvement of physical and psychological balance and socialisation
  • physical and group activity carried out outdoors, also in the form of walking groups to promote the use of the landscape and environmental heritage;
  • general health education and nutritional education sessions to support the adoption of correct and healthy lifestyles

Line B – Civil commitment and volunteering

  • Initiatives, including experimental ones, of neighborly solidarity and self-help in general;
  • Purchasing and distribution activities of medicines and food;
  • Light welfare initiatives such as accompaniments to social/health services;
  • Social entertainment activities, leisure and socialization opportunities

Line C Social, employment and lifelong learning promotion

  • Initiatives for the valorisation of craft activities, also with the rediscovery of ancient crafts;
  • Intergenerational exchange, socialization and creativity initiatives with the aim of reducing generational distances and offering opportunities for double enrichment and permanent growth;
  • Activities to promote the civil and social commitment of elderly people in the role of teachers and learners with the aim of creating support for socially useful services and assistance projects active at a local level as well as the valorisation of professional experiences and skills.

Each candidate will be able to present a single project proposaland concerning a maximum of 2 lines of activity among those envisaged in the Notice and which nevertheless guarantee uniqueness and coherence to the whole.

Each proposal can only be financed if attended by a minimum of fifteen (15) people who are at least 65 years of age.

Subjects admitted to submit the application
The Notice is addressed to the following entities with registered office or operational headquarters in the Puglia Region:
1. Third Sector entities registered in the Single National Register of the Third Sector;
2. Universities of the Third Age registered in the regional register of UTEs;

The requirement of registration in the relevant Registers must be declared, and therefore verifiable, on the date of submission of the application by the proposing party and must be maintained by the proposing party itself for the entire duration of the Project’s implementation.

The total available resources are equal to €450,000.00.

The maximum public contribution recognized for a single project proposal cannot exceed €8,000.00

Methods and deadlines for submitting applications
Under penalty of inadmissibility of the proposal, the proposing parties must submit the application, accompanied by all the documentation required by the notice, exclusively by certified email, to the following address of the A.Re.SS Puglia: [email protected]

The subject of the certified e-mail must indicate “Notice IA 2024 – Candidacy … (name of proponent)”.

The application must contain:
• the application form (compliant with Annex C1);
• the project form (compliant with Annex C2);
• the economic plan (compliant with Annex C3);
• identity document of the legal representative;
• the Curriculum of the proposing organization (annex C4);
• the Curriculum Vitae of the staff you intend to employ (with sensitive data obscured) (attachment C5);
• any Partnership Agreements (Annex C6) together with the relevant summary CV of the private partner organisation.

Applications can be sent from 3 May 2024 until 1.00 pm on 18 May 2024
