The 19th edition of “Libri infiniti” is underway, promoted by the Province of Rovigo: 110 events in schools to fuel the passion for reading

The annual appointment is renewed with Infinite Books, an event promoted by the Province of Rovigo and organized by the Culture Service in collaboration with the Municipalities and libraries that join the Provincial Library System network. The 19th edition, which will formally begin on April 19th and end on June 11th, also aims to increase interest in reading among young students from Polesine. Thanks to a rich calendar of animated readings, workshops and meetings with authors, we will try to fuel a healthy passion for books, proposing reading as an opportunity for discovery, personal growth and openness to the world.

In organizing the event, the Culture Service of the Province of Rovigo found the usual support of numerous municipalities, libraries and schools in the provincial area, the collaboration of the Aida Foundation of Verona and the timely support of the Cariparo Foundation. The recipients of the initiative are students of nursery school, primary school and lower secondary school. There will be 55 schools involved, for a total of 210 classes and 3226 students.

Important numbers, which confirm the great interest in a project now rooted in the Polesine school fabric. Local administrations also have full confidence in the event: 25 municipalities took part in the 19th edition of Infinite Books, to which is added the Accademia dei Concordi of Rovigo, which will host some events. As mentioned, we start on April 19th from Crespino. The event will also stop in Adria, Ariano nel Polesine, Bergantino, Castelnovo Bariano, Ceneselli, Corbola, Ficarolo, Fiesso Umbertiano, Frassinelle, Fratta Polesine, Lendinara, Loreo, Melara, Polesella, Porto Tolle, Porto Viro, Rosolina, Salara, San Bellino, San Martino di Venezze, Stienta, Taglio di Po, Trecenta and Villadose.

The 2024 edition of Infinite Books includes a section dedicated to primary and lower secondary school students, with 76 workshops, and a section, called “Born to read”, with 34 events and animated readings intended for nursery schools. The protagonists will be four exceptional professionals: the actor, director and author Pino Costalunga, the actress and musician Alice Canovi, the actress and voice actress Anna Chiara Zanoli and the actress and artist Rossella Terragnoli. During the event, which includes a total of 110 meetings, some activities will be dedicated to the figure of Giacomo Matteotti, on the occasion of the centenary of his death.
