*15 innovators for 11 projects on the themes of architecture, city, design and
sustainable fashion*

*The Start Venice UP project restarts on Thursday 18 April*
acceleration of ideas financed by the Veneto Region. During the second
project phase — START.HUB — teachers, mentors and industry experts
will guide the *15 innovators* selected to acquire the skills
fundamental in the use of design thinking, in the definition of plans
business, in the protection of intellectual property and in the main ones
forms of financing to transform *11 project proposals into real ones
own startups.*
Venice becomes an open-air laboratory in which the synergy between actors
local aims at the formation and start-up of an ecosystem of businesses and
innovative startups capable of supporting development, testing and
scalability of business ideas and innovative technological solutions for
address global challenges starting from a local dimension: “Venice HUB”.
New systems for the logistics, management and collection of *microplastics
in water *and *inclusive clothing design *are a few
ideas in the pipeline.
The main challenge is to generate critical mass through a high
involvement of different actors around the concept of *project
sustainable* — an approach that places particular emphasis on caring and
maintenance of the environment in all its facets: from the territory,
to the arts, from the city to architecture, to design.
The second phase of the University’s *idea acceleration programme
Iuav of Venice*, in its fifth edition, foresees an intense period of
training, which includes lectures, workshops, one-to-one consultations
and an intensive week, all aimed at consolidating the proposals
planning.
