The second Italian title of the season in the duathlon arrives for Noemi Bogiatto of Cuneo 1198 Mentecorpo. After the gold medal in the sprint duathlon at the Imola racetrack, the athlete from Saluzzo (from Bagnolo), a student of Sports Science, repeated her performance by climbing to the top step of the cross duathlon. In the test held in Triuggio (Monza Brianza), Noemi Bogiatto immediately takes command of the race. The mountain bike portion was lively, with Bianca Morvillo (Granbike Triathlon) attempting to return, but Bogiatto reacted very well and immediately pulled away from her rival, crossing the finish line solo with a time of 1h03’08”. With first place, the young girl from Cuneo 1198 wears the Santini tricolor shirt intended for the 2024 duathlon cross champion and succeeds Marta Menditto in the roll of honor. In the men’s race, the other two from Cuneo did well, Simeone Romano, eighth, and Alberto Demarchi, who, despite mechanical problems, finished twenty-ninth. Junior titles also awarded. Bronze medal for Sebastiano Margaria del Cuneo 1198; ninth Emanuele Margaria. The Triuggio race opened the Cross circuit which will continue in Capoliveri on April 28th with the Overall and category events; in Gavoi on May 5th the Tricolori Triathlon Cross Junior; conclusion in Lavarone on 7 September. A few days after the Italian Duathlon Cross, another strong performance for the Cuneo riders Simeone Romano and Alberto Demarchi, competing in Spain for the second stage of the Europe Triathlon Cup in Melilla. In an always lively and unpredictable race, Demarchi finished twentieth and Romano twenty-fourth. Last Sunday, however, the Magione racetrack hosted the Italian Youth Duathlon. With more than thirty athletes, Cuneo 1198 Mentecorpo showed up in force for the event. Among the most important results stand out the fifth place of Alice Magnaldi, Junior; ninth Elisa Rivara; fourth Teresa Vizio in the Youth B; sixth Sebastiano Margaria in Youth B. Tommaso Sommariva, Tommaso Fogliatto and Iris Acri also did well. In the Boys category, excellent fifth place for Giulio Gherardi. In the relay race (92 teams at the start, an absolute record, with almost 600 athletes interested in addition to the Beginners and Boys), with an attacking race right from the first stages the Cuneo 1198 Youth team obtained a second place overall with Sebastiano Margaria , Teresa Vizio, Tommaso Sommariva and Iris Acri. In the Junior test, fourth place, just 4” from victory, for Gregorio Vizio, Alice Magnaldi, Emanuele Margaria and Elisa Rivara.
