The double vote: Arrone dominance
This year too, Arrone’s float triumphed with the votes of the technical jury (seven jurors in total) with ‘Na primavera infinito’ (385.5 votes), 2nd place Pallotta-Polymer-Sabbione with ‘Utopia maggiaiola’ (355.5), 3rd place Cesi-Casali with ‘Friendly nature-Friendly countryside’ (323.5) and 4th place tied Montecastrilli with ‘Earth day is everyday’ with subtitle ‘If we kill them we will die too! ‘, Lu Riacciu ’50 years of ‘n’amore ‘nfinitu’ and San Giovanni with ‘Lu giardinu de maggiu’. As far as the critics’ jury is concerned (twelve journalists involved), Arrone always dominates with a total of 693.5 votes. The official awards ceremony has been postponed to Saturday 4 May. Enthusiasm for the group from Arrona with protagonists in particular the mayor Fabio Di Gioia: «We have been participating in this festival for 70 years and it is important to point out that for one evening the city of Terni stops for the parade. The surrounding municipalities are ‘satellites’ that must participate. I want to thank Domenico Bordacchini, he made the cloth and he is from Arrona”, the mayor was keen to underline, alongside a much applauded Daniele Aiani, the designer. «The thing that struck me the most was the swan’s embrace, very good.
