After publishing the report on the state of the Italian video game market, IIDEA also published the ranking of the ten best-selling video games in Italy during 2023. The podium is a given, but there are some surprises in the top 10.
EA Sports FC 24 dominates the ranking without any surprises, followed by Hogwarts Legacy and Call of Duty Modern Warfare III. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 however is off the podium, in fourth place.

Fifth place for Super Mario Bros Wonder followed by another Nintendo game, we are obviously referring to The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Diablo IV occupies the week position of the ranking followed by F1 23, Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Resident Evil 4 Remake.
A top 10 that includes the big blockbusters of the autumn, a game that continues to sell well in the long term like RE4 and sports games. And if The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom quickly became a cult phenomenon in our country too, Diablo 4’s entry into the top 10 wasn’t that obvious considering the strong competition from big titles released in 2023.
