The commitment to the fight against illegal real estate by the Maremma and Tirreno Chamber of Commerce together with the other subjects who signed the memorandum of understanding in 2021.
In fact, on Wednesday 17 April at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce in Livorno the periodic table to verify the state of implementation of the memorandum of understanding was attended by the Maremma and Tirreno Chamber of Commerce, the Livorno Financial Police and the Italian Federation. Professional Real Estate Agents of Livorno, Italian Federation of Business Agents Mediators of Livorno and Grosseto, National Association of Business Agents and Mediators of Livorno, the INPS provincial directorates of Grosseto and Livorno. During the meeting the Chamber illustrated to those present a further specific protocol for the tourist-seaside sector, signed in March 2024 with the Guardia di Finanza to promote the legality and transparency of business activity to protect the legal economy, competition and of the free market, for the tourist-seaside economic reality. The Chamber of Commerce has invited us to monitor and report also on this particular aspect of the sector.
From the meeting, the importance of adequately informing citizens on this issue emerged: to ensure that customers are not dealing with a case of illegal activity, customers can always ask for their real estate agent’s license to be shown and verification of the necessary requirements for agencies.
“Those who illegally practice the activity of real estate agents – they explained from the Chamber of Commerce – create enormous damage to customers, to the category and more generally to the entire economic sector and the participants at the table will continue their commitment to combating the phenomenon also with targeted information actions, to encourage not only the indispensable compliance with the regulations in force, but to protect the category of real estate agents and customers”.
