< THE CHRISTIAN DEMOCRACY "RUNNING" IN PIEDMONT REINVIGORATED BY NEW COLLABORATIONS AND STRONG EXPECTATIONS FOR THE GROWTH OF THE CRUSADER SHIELD! >

The previously announced video conference meeting of the Regional Committee of Christian Democracy of Piedmont was held on Tuesday evening (16/04/2024) starting at 9:00 pm.

The regional Administrative Secretary (and legal representative) of the Piedmontese Christian Democracy Gino Tufani (of Carmagnola/in the province of Turin) had in fact convened the entire management of the DC of Piedmont for a first concrete and effective discussion in order to examine the existing situation and evaluate the various proposals aimed at revitalizing the Crusader Shield party also in in view of the next important events that await him in the immediate future.

The national political secretary of the Christian Democracy, Dr., also brought his greetings to the meeting. Angelo Sandri (Udine) who wanted to congratulate the management of the Piedmontese DC for the important political and reorganization work carried out in recent months, but above all in this last period at the beginning of 2024 which has marked a strong reinvigoration of the party in almost all the provinces that are part of the Piedmont region.

The celebration of the twenty-fourth National Congress of the DC (held in Rome in mid-December 2023) certainly brought a breath of fresh air and restored the impetus to actively want to build an alternative to a political situation which, especially at a national level, cannot without nothing else to excite or satisfy.

The regional administrative secretary of the DC (and national vice-administrative secretary) Gino Tufani took stock of the situation of the Crusader Shield party in Piedmont, underlining the many new responsibilities that are certainly strengthening the DC and contributing to creating an increasingly valid and effective party structure.

Even in terms of party membership for the year 2024, effective action is taking place which will certainly lead to important and appreciable results in line with the objectives we have set ourselves to achieve.

Among the various interventions that followed, we mention that of Serena Mantoannew Organizational Secretary of the DC of Chivasso (province of Turin).

A social health worker, she exposed some problems encountered in hospitals in the Piedmont area and especially in emergency rooms.

The greatest critical issues are linked to the lack/escape of doctors and healthcare workers, a problem that appears increasingly worrying.

Giuseppe GiroldinoProvincial Organizing Secretary of Verbania, former municipal councilor, focused his attention on the problems relating to Civil Protection, underlining the inadequacy of the service in various municipalities in the district.

Eng. also spoke. Mimmo Morello (Turin), Regional Manager of the Department < for environmental problems and energy policies > of the Christian Democracy of the Piedmont region.

The issues touched upon in his speech are evidently of burning current interest, so much so that it has already been decided to plan an evening/meeting on these highly topical and general interest topics shortly at the Circolo dell’Amicizia in Turin.

The Dr. Giacomo TalponeProvincial Organizing Secretary of the Christian Democracy of the province of Alessandria, wanted to focus on the problem of parking in the various urban centres, the management of which should be improved and brought more to the attention of Public Administrators.

Fabrizio CalzaProvincial Secretary of the Social Assistance and Welfare Department of the DC of the province of Turin, activist of various voluntary associations, exposed the “independent life project” initiatives for individuals with motor difficulties and disabling pathologies

The Regional Secretary of the Department of the Christian Democracy of the Piedmont region (and Deputy National Secretary of the Department itself) Sebastiano Filippo Speziale (Turin) exposed the problems and various initiatives of the Department he coordinates.

The detail presented the interesting initiative linked to the Friendship Club, which came to life in the center of Turin, and which is attracting the attention not only of the Christian Democratic people and of many Turin citizens who are very favorable to initiatives of this type.

They also intervened during the debate Anna Maria Leanza (Asti); Stefano Oliviero (also from Asti); Stefano Garzino (Deputy Provincial Secretary of Cuneo) and others.

Everyone firmly reiterated the absolute need for cooperation and strong unity of purpose within the Christian Democrats of Piedmont, avoiding dangerous attempts at dissociation (which unfortunately have been seen recently but which fortunately have not had much effect).

It was therefore decided to confirm this type of meeting, on a weekly basis, confirming Tuesday evening and, if necessary, reconsidering the start time of the meeting itself.
