«This is very bad news. Carpi loses not only an esteemed professional, but also a gentleman. Condolences to the family.” Thus, the mayor of Carpi Alberto Bellelli comments on the passing of Aldo Fioria well-known and respected notary in the city.
Doctor Fiori passed away on Monday following an illness: he would have turned 75 in two months and was close to retirement after a life dedicated to a profession he loved deeply. A passing that sparked condolences throughout the city, with dozens of messages from people who knew and appreciated him.
The funerals
The last farewell to the Carpi notary is scheduled for tomorrow at 2.30pm, departing from the Terracielo funeral home, in Via Lenin, while the mass in the Cathedral will be at 3pm. The funeral home is open at Terracielo from 8am to 7pm.
Dozens of messages
There were therefore many messages from Carpi people who yesterday wanted to greet Doctor Fiori and hug his family. In addition to the mayor, also the president of Carpi Calcio Claudio Lazzaretti, together with the whole team, «received with dismay the news of the passing of the notary Aldo Fiori». President Lazzaretti and Carpi football thus remember «a special person, a professional of the highest caliber and deeply attached to the red and white colours, as well as having held the role of public official who drew up the deed of incorporation of the Athletic Carpi club. The club expresses its deepest condolences to the family – closes the president’s note together with the team – to his nephew Riccardo, footballer in the 2008 Allievi selection for the red and whites, and to his dearest loved ones”. There were also many memories from the citizens, who emphasized the professionalism and generosity of Doctor Fiori, who was also known in the rest of the province.
A special memory is that of my colleague Flavia Fiocchi: «Finding the words to express what I feel is difficult – the notary from Carpi began – without a doubt Aldo Fiori was a colleague of great caliber, an attentive and prepared professional, as well as being a man of exquisite kindness and great generosity. The memory of him and his example will remain alive for a long time in the Modena notary profession, of which he was a leading exponent – adds Fiocchi – even sitting for a few years on the Notary Council. In me, in particular, his affectionate memory and the precious teachings of him during the practice carried out in his office about forty years ago will live indelible, but above all his idea of a real notary, for the people and with the people” .
