The new prosecutor of the Republic of Matera, Alessio Coccioli, has taken office. On his first day of work in the Palace of Justice of the City of Sassi, Coccioli met colleagues from the Prosecutor’s Office, the President of the Court, the Criminal Chamber, the Bar Association, institutional representatives and the police forces. The new Prosecutor, who takes over from Dr. Pietro Argentino who retired, reiterated his commitment to the management of justice. Role held while awaiting the new appointment, for 18 months by Dr. Annunziata Cazzetta, who continued the work of the Prosecutor’s Office, receiving the recognition of the General Prosecutor’s Office. Now it’s up to Alessio Coccioli to continue, close proceedings, start others. The new Prosecutor comes from the Court of Bari. He joined the judiciary in 1996, holding his first position at the Taranto prosecutor’s office. In 2009 he moved to Lecce as a deputy prosecutor at the Court with functions of deputy of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate led by Cataldo Motta.
