«Endless degradation in that area of Ronchi, exhausted residents»

MARINA DI MASSA – «We are talking again about via Volpina, a road located in the Ronchi area (Massa, Massa-Carrara), for too many years the road has been surrounded by total inexplicable neglect, the now exhausted inhabitants of the area have demonstrated the total abandonment by the administration, despite the fact that Fratelli d’Italia has also expressed in the past the need for urgent intervention in the area both at an environmental and safety level with a recent question to the City Council”. Marco Amorese and Mauro Bonini, local representatives of Giorgia Meloni’s party, wrote this in a note.

«The responses to our question were poor in terms of efficient actions and we take note of this having also carried out an inspection of the place, in fact neither the removal of the illegal landfills took place, which are both on the unpaved road and in the ditches on the mountain side, and with regret not even those interventions that could now discourage the perpetual drug dealing that persists in the area.
The Fratelli d’Italia group is loudly calling on the administration to intervene immediately, with the removal of waste, asphalting and the installation of security cameras. In that rectangle of surface between the Via Poveromo flyover, the Via dei Loghi flyover and the stretch of road between Via Volpina and the motorway there is a vast area of approximately 80,000 m2 in total degradation, an area which every year is always more immersed in illegal landfills, degradation and dangers”.

«A very large surface, which creates a real stain that completely clashes with the urban, building and environmental fabric of that area surrounded by greenery. At an urban planning level, it is currently intended for residual green-agricultural areas within the fabrics, with medium hydraulic danger and for a part of the area compliance with the motorway. Fratelli d’Italia believes that the time has come to make a change in that area and especially in that neighborhood which, given its total abandonment, is increasingly frequented by ill-intentioned people dedicated to drug dealing who have put the residents in a state of despair. The new urban planning could give direction to that area, including the possibility of creating a public park with play areas that focus on natural materials and innovative structures capable of stimulating a perception of the place strongly linked to the naturalistic aspect, preparing games and inclusive recreational and sports facilities also for disabled children, facilities for the elderly, an area with pedestrian paths, and a pump track area, a structure which together with the skate park on Viale Roma would bring many fans of these overly undervalued sports to our city who also have the opportunity to make Massa known at the level of sports tourism.”
