The provincial CSA expresses deep regret for the umpteenth postponement of the meeting on the regulation of progressions in derogationconvened by Municipality of Salerno. This series of continuous postponements, which followed previous meetings without tangible results, demonstrates the lack of commitment of the public sector in resolving a crucial issue for municipal workers and for the city itself. “It is unacceptable that we continue to witness endless postponements, while workers and the city await concrete answers,” said Angelo Rispoli, general secretary of CSA Salerno. “We have already shown our willingness to dialogue by signing the supplementary decentralized collective agreementbut it is clear that the public sector is not honoring its commitments.”

The CSA negotiating delegation found itself alone at the negotiating table, and only after the announcement of a commitment by the public sector, represented by the general director, was it decided to proceed with the signing of the supplementary decentralized collective agreement. However, this commitment was not respected, betraying the expectations of the workers. “We ask the public sector to stop with this policy of continuous postponements and finally honor your commitments“, stated the RSU delegates in the provincial CSA quota, Giovanni De Luca, Angelo Napoli And Claudio Vuolo. “Not only do we ask for the resumption of the discussion as already scheduled for April 23, but we also demand further discussions on the critical issues of municipal staff, which can no longer be ignored”.

Among the critical issues highlighted are the management of electoral extraordinarythe problems of the municipal police, including the under-sizing of the workforce and the failure to comply with working conditions, and the need for a new regulation for the availability and payment of meal vouchers for evening and night shifts. “The employees of the Municipality of Salerno and the city can no longer tolerate further delays and indecisions”, concluded the general secretary of the provincial CSA, Angelo Rispoli. “If this policy of continuous postponements persists, we will be forced to take protest action to protect our interests and the well-being of the community.”
