A 52-year-old nurse working in a department of the Cremona hospital was apparently defamed on Facebook by neighbors who cleaned the same department as him. In February 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, the nurse fell ill with Covid. “There were no masks at the time,” he recalled. “I was seriously infected, if there hadn’t been a vaccine I wouldn’t be here”. His neighbors, however, are declared anti-vaxxers.
Today the nurse became a civil party in the trial against his neighbor, an Indian, accused of defamation for having published a video documenting a dispute on 4 June 2021, on “Toro Indiano”, as he called his Facebook profile. between the nurse and his wife, accompanying him with the comment: “Look who we are being treated by. This is a nurse, his name is… as he goes around banging around we ask for immediate suspension from work”.
Three years later, the video is still there on social media. A defamatory spite, for the civil party, due to a discussion between the nurse and the wife of the accused “not vaccinated against the prevailing pandemic”, we read in the civil party’s deed of incorporation, who had spat on him, hitting him right in the eye.
