Bolzano Film Festival Bozen, the work of the Euregio-Young-Jury begins

Nine high school students from the three territories of the Tyrol-Alto Adige-Trentino Euregio began their work as jurors of the 37th edition of the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen yesterday morning with a workshop on the topic “How to review a film?”. Over the next few days, jurors will learn about the work of a film critic and receive instructions on how to evaluate a film from industry experts.
Euregio-Young-Jury is a cooperation project between the Euregio, the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen and the Bolzano Youth Service. In the next few days, until 19 April 2024, a total of nine third and fourth year upper secondary school students from Tyrol, Alto Adige and Trentino will watch and evaluate five feature films and documentaries at the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen with the support of the experts Irene Egger, Arnold Schnötzinger and Rita Maria Lupi and will finally choose the winning film of the Euregio-Young-Jury 2024. The jury will announce the winner on Saturday evening (20 April).
The initiative to promote talent in the fields of writing, cinematographic language and work with the media, supported by the Euregio and the Education and Training Directorates of Alto Adige, Tyrol and Trento, aims to introduce young participants to the stimulating and lively atmosphere of an international film festival.
The winning film will then be screened in the next school year as part of the “Cinema and school” program in various cinemas in the Euregio in Innsbruck, Bolzano and Trento in the presence of the director of the winning film.
