Another gesture made from the heart by the Juventus ultras of the Curva Mare. The banner displayed during the second half of Cesena-Recanatese did not go unnoticed on Monday evening: ‘Elisabetta you will always be in our hearts’ is the message launched by the boys of the curve, the beating heart of every match played at the Manuzzi.

Elisabetta was a great Cavalluccio fan who died due to an incurable disease at just 36 years old. A gesture that touched the heart of her husband Matteo: “I am the father of a little girl who at the time of the events was only nine months old and is now two and a half years old. I would like to publicly thank all the kids at Curva Mare in Cesena who during the match on Monday evening at the start of the second half they displayed a banner to remember my wife, a Cesena fan! I have always been of the opinion that it is the small gestures that make moments magical, for this reason I wanted to be able to thank them and make them understand how much that gesture was important to me.”

In 2022 RavennaToday was the first to tell the story, which later hit the national news, of Matteo Grotti and Elisabetta Socci. The 36-year-old died in July of that year from cancer – which was diagnosed on the same day she discovered she was pregnant – shortly after giving birth to her daughter Cecilia. Matteo also had to face that drama for his own daughter, who he worked hard to raise as best as possible.
