As explained to the Budget Committee by councilor Elena Angiani, they have been 365 complicated days.
“The budget is affected by the general situation – said Angiani – such as the two existing conflicts, which are leading to higher costs for energy and raw materials”.
Joys on the tourist tax, with a collection of 30 thousand euros more than expected, from 450 thousand and 480 thousand, which means more overnight stays, but pain on the front of collecting fines for violations of the highway code.
Lower revenue, with the sums collected remaining at 50% compared to the assessments.
As regards taxes, however, 38 million entered the coffers of Palazzo dei Priori, compared to the almost 47 and a half expected. 80%.
“A part will subsequently be collected through good-natured reminders – observes Angiani – and debt collection by the Revenue Agency, reaching 84.6%, in line with other municipalities similar to Viterbo”.
Non-tax revenues were collected for 5 million and 400 thousand euros, compared to assessments of over 8 million and forecasts of 12 million.
