New connections for Frecciarossa in Puglia: all the news

There Summer Experience enriches Puglia with new connections: in June they will debut in weekend the night Frecciarossa Milan-Lecce and the Intercity Lecce-Bolzano. Among the summer news, new Intercity connections Lecce/Bari-Reggio Calabria and the return of trains on the FSE Putignano-Rutigliano route. New bus connections also to the main tourist destinations of Puglia.

The offer Red Arrow And Frecciargento

From June two new ones will circulate on the weekend Frecciarossa night trains: The Red Arrow Milan-Lecce departing from Milan Centrale at 10.45pm and stops in Milan Rogoredo (p. 10.55pm), Parma (p. 11.41pm), Reggio Emilia (p. 11.56pm), Modena (p. 00.11), Bologna Centrale (p. 0.35) , Foggia (y. 5.17), (Barletta (y. 5.47), Bari Centrale (y. 6.24), Monopoli (y. 6.48), Fasano (y. 6.57), Ostuni (y. 7.09′), Brindisi (y. 7.32) and arrive in Lecce at 7.57 and the Red Arrow Lecce-Milan departing from the Salento capital at 9.05pm and stops in Brindisi (9.27pm), Ostuni (9.50pm), Fasano (22.02), Monopoli (22.11), Bari Centrale (10.45pm), Barletta (11.21pm), Foggia (11.55pm), Bologna (5.31am), Modena (5.58am), Reggio Emilia (6.15am), Parma (6.33am), Milano Rogoredo (7.21am) arriving at Milano Centrale at 7.35am.

All confirmed Red Arrow to and from Milan, Turin, Venice, Padua and Bologna, which in summer will also make stops in Monopoli, Fasano and Ostuni.

Finally, up to 13 Frecciarossas and Frecciargento trains connecting Puglia to Rome a day, with 2 Frecciarossas extending their service northwards also offering direct connections to and from Florence.

The Intercity offer

From June theIntercity Milan-Lecce and theIntercity Bari-Milan. On Friday and Saturday theIntercity Lecce-Bolzano, while on Saturday and Sunday theIntercity Bolzano-Lecce.

The Regional offer of Trenitalia

Over 240 trains of Regional every day towards the main travel locations in Puglia, from Trani to Lecce, from Giovinazzo to Polignano a Mare, from Bari to Monopoli. Combined train+bus connections are also available this summer to reach tourist locations far from a train station.

Starting from June the Monopoli beach linkin collaboration with Miccolis Lentini, which allows you to reach the main beaches from Monopoli to Chapter.

The offer of Ferrovie del Sud Est

The novelty of the summer is the reopening of the Bari-Putignano line (via Conversano) between Rutigliano and Putignano: 18 trains a day, in circulation from 5.00 to 22.00, with stops in Conversano and Castellana Grotte and connection with buses to Bari in Conversano.

All connections to the Itria Valley (Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, Cisternino, Locorotondo and Martina Franca), Ostuni and the marinas south of Bari (Polignano a Mare and Monopoli) have been confirmed. In Salento, connections to Porto Cesareo, Gallipoli, Otranto, San Foca, Torre dell’Orso, Tricase and Castro have been confirmed.

On the Martina-Franca – Francavilla line, 18 trains will run per day with stops in Cisternino and Ceglie Messapica. From Francavilla Fontana to Lecce the service will be guaranteed by replacement buses for infrastructure modernization works.

Train of Magna Graecia

They will circulate in Italy until August 29th weekend the Magna Grecia trains from Taranto to Sibari and vice versa to discover the cultural and landscape beauties of the Ionian coast.
