in Fano the Tari increase set at 4.4%

FANO Compared to the increase decreed by Arera of 5.6% thanks to the recovery ofevasion in Fano a reduction of 1.2% will be applied to domestic users and 2.2% to non-domestic users. It’s called an “upgrade” but it’s actually an increase. The new tariff plan, drawn up by the Municipal Administration regarding the collection of the waste tax, has arrived at the city council, the last of this administrative round: the Tari.

Plan

The plan takes into account the provisions of Arera, the National Energy and Environment Regulatory Authority which has foreseen a 5.6 percent tax increase for the current year and 2025, a significant increase if you consider that the calculation of the amount only marginally takes into account the user’s ability to pay, also based on the square meters of your home and the number of members of the family group. However, the Municipality of Fano has managed to reconcile the increase in the Tari which has now reached 14 million euros, carrying out a large-scale recovery activity of the evaded tax, equal to 1,400,000 euros, which will be used precisely for the containment of the Arera’s rise.

Which means, as highlighted by the Councilor for Finance Sara Cucchiarini, that instead of a 5.6 percent increase which will involve users of other Municipalities, in the Municipality of Fano the increase in Arera will be reduced by 1, 2 percent relating to domestic users and 2.2 percent to non-domestic users. Therefore, the higher expenditure will be requested from domestic users. Among other things, instead of concentrating everything in the current year, the Municipal Administration has preferred to safeguard users for next year too, rationally dividing the resulting fund available, as we have said, from the recovery of the escape. Recovery which, in itself, in many cases was not painless, derived from the investigations carried out by the Andreani Tributi company specially appointed by the Municipality itself, through the comparison between the square meters of the house reported by the taxpayer and those reported by the registry office .

Costs

As regards the coverage of the costs of the service, it was decided to charge 57.23 percent of the expense to domestic use and the remaining 42.77 percent to non-domestic use. Of these, the market stalls displaying foodstuffs pay the highest amount, to which a fixed rate of 13.9 euros per square meter plus a rate of 12.2 is applied; followed by fishmongers, fruit and vegetable retailers, sliced pizzerias, flower and plant shops with relative amounts of 11.7 and 10.2; in third position are restaurants, taverns, trattorias and pubs with 8.9 and 7.9. With the aim of achieving an objective of fairer fiscal balance, Aset has long declared itself ready to apply waste collection using the so-called intelligent bins.

Collection that other Municipalities have already applied for some time. An experimental form that commensurates the payment for the service with the quantity of waste collected is already underway in the Municipality of San Costanzo. To introduce it in Fano it is necessary to proceed through a provision from the Municipal Administration which will initially cause an inevitable increase in the tariff to cover the necessary investment, but which will then put users in a position to pay less if they produce less waste.
