We receive the note from Potenza City Councilors Marco Falconeri and Rocco Pergola:
“In relation to the worsening of the weather and consequent drastic drop in temperatures, we asked the Mayor of Potenza, Mario Guarente, for the provision of an extension to the switching on of public and private heating systems existing in the city of Potenza.
In reality, the worsening of the meteorological situation had already been predicted before the natural deadline of 15 April, the date beyond which in the absence of extensions it is mandatory for systems maintenance and management companies to proceed with shutting down the systems.
But unlike last year which saw the mayor intervene with an extension, this year nothing has been done.
We consider that it is above all those who are interested nursery schools, nursery schools, facilities that house the elderly.
It was therefore foreseeable that precisely these categories would complain about the failure to adopt a measure aimed at protecting, above all, those suffering from particular situations.
We need to be attentive on this issue and always check the weather which for Potenza, one of the highest cities in Italy, represents a sensitive “thermometer” for the well-being of citizens”.
