The young chess player Marco Zaza (U12) wins the Provincial Tournament of Foggia for his category

In the same category, the young chess player Filippo Dagostino placed himself on the podium in third place, missing out on qualification by a whisker but displaying a good game confirming the progress made in the current season.

Marco, a student at Scardigno Savio, already qualified for the national finals, which will be held in Salsomaggiore Terme from 29 June to 6 July ’24, will form a promising trio together with Gianluca Mezzina and Gianluigi Bonvino.

The opportunities to aim for qualification for the national stage are not over so ScacchiAmo is confident of increasing its team with other athletes who have come very close this season and who can play their chances in the next tournaments

Before following the awaited tournament in Salsomaggiore, other events are scheduled:

5 May – Regional Final in Barletta;
