Bergamo is a city to be discovered by walking, perfect to capture in a photographic shot: with its hilly landscapes, medieval streets, the harmony of the monuments, the daily life of the villages and the rurality of the steps it can make the images unique.
Bergamo Photography Marathon
Sunday May 5th the ninth edition of the Bergamo Photography Marathonthe cultural event organized by Spazio Cam – thanks to the Main Sponsors Coldiretti Bergamo, Legami-Milano and Coquette Hair spa – which combines photography and territory, walking and photographing, walking and observation. The formula remains unchanged and is enjoying growing success among photography enthusiasts: a competition in which the participants, in a defined period of time, must interpret the themes assigned during the day, creating a photograph for each one.
There Bergamo Photography Marathon it will start at 9:00 am and end at 6:00 pm: oall the hours of time available to reach some specific points of the city, endorse the participation card and take photos proposed themes. Two will be assigned at the start and two at 12.30 in Piazza Mascheroni in the Upper Town. For the occasion, a small refreshment will be offered by Coldiretti, one of the main sponsors of the event.
Each participant will be able to send a single shot per theme: the shots will then be put online on the company’s website marathonwhere they will remain as an image narration of the city.
The shots will be evaluated by a jury of experts who will announce the winners within 60 days of the event: the winning photos will then be exhibited at the Spazio Cam in Bergamo.
The marathon is open to anyone: the only requirement is to have any photographic tool supplied, be it a reflex camera, a compact camera or your smartphone.
With the participation card, it will be possible to access free of charge the Accademia Carrara, the FAI property of Palazzo Moroni with its gardens, the Social Garden, and the Sant’Andrea Theatre.
