The procession organized by the neo-fascist movements in memory of the young man from the Youth Front killed in 1975 by members of the Workers’ Avant-garde ended outside Sergio Ramelli’s house in Milan, complete with a ritual of the present and Roman greetings. A thousand people took part in the procession, starting from Piazzale Gorini in rows of five with lit torches. Arriving in via Paladini, under Ramelli’s house, the demonstrators laid a wreath of flowers and then staged the neo-fascist ritual. According to Ansa reports, Roberta Capotosti, a staff member of the President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa, was also present. Capotosti did not march with the rest of the procession and shouted “present” outside Ramelli’s house without however giving any Roman salute. As always, in addition to the neo-fascist commemoration, there was also an institutional ceremony in Milan in memory of the young Ramelli. Both the president of the Senate and the minister Daniela Santanché and the mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala participated. Not without controversy.
«I hope that sooner or later, before his mandate ends, Mayor Sala comes with the sash because we consider him as if he came with the sash, otherwise we would consider him as one of the others and he would be at the bottom. Instead we have always put him in the front row as mayor”, declared the number one of Palazzo Madama. Sala responded to him promptly: «The controversy over the tricolor band happens every year. There are mayors who wear the band a lot, I wear it very little. I don’t even wear it, for example when I go to the commemoration of Brasili or Amoroso.” And again: «I use the band very little, but I come every year with conviction. Those years were truly terrible years. In particular, Ramelli’s murder was very serious. Then time restores dimensions and also a correct vision of things. In a bipartisan manner I believe that Ramelli’s memory has been remembered.”
