The Court of Auditors found that the electoral campaign of the last municipal elections in Aprilia, those of May 2023, was “low cost. In fact, only 6 lists out of 19 presented certifications regarding the expenses incurred, while all the others produced a self-certification in which they attested to having spent zero euros on the electoral campaign.-
“The Board examined the documentation of the Municipality of Aprilia, verifying the legal compliance of the expenses incurred based on the type of eligible ones and the existence of their direct or indirect connection with the electoral purposes, according to a principle of inherence and congruity also from a temporal point of view”, writes the Court of Auditors.

The report: only 6 lists had expenses
“Documentary additions were requested; it was found that the representatives of 13 lists did not produce reports but declarations, pursuant to Presidential Decree no. 28 December 2000. 445, certifying the absence of income and expenses; the remaining 6 lists have submitted regular reports”.
