The stonemasons resound as when the great cathedrals were built in the Middle Ages, today jackhammers and screwdrivers, and the trusses ascend up to the spans and vaults of the pavilions, illuminating the gymnastic altar like day. The secular sacredness of the staging of a sporting event always has something liturgical and the Rimini Fair which takes shape and life a week after the opening of the gates deserves the silent contemplation of the adoring fans. The organizational machine has entered the track and the engine unleashes its horsepower in the test laps, while the workers are busy preparing the track. The basilica of continental art is almost ready. In place of the historiated capitals there are seats just waiting to be filled. In the ambulatory that will welcome the gymnasts, at the foot of the raised podium, the cables of the SmartScoring system run, covered by a carpet matching the colors of the logo, green and purple. The pulpit of the judges and television commentators will be at the forefront, without too many frills but a lot of substance. There is no classic Gothic rose window, but a spring sun enters through the windows which makes the naves and the transept of the field of play shine, which will soon welcome the ritual tools, among the forklifts which, instead of horses, transport platforms and mattresses, here and there. The façade is that of major events, decorated with the logos of FGI, European Gymnastics, the Emilia Romagna Region, the Municipality of Rimini and BPER Banca, the spiers are not there but the pride of the Adriatic and of Italy as a whole in hosting Europe, a close to the Olympic Games, it reaches the stars. Who now waits for them to set… to sing: at dawn, we will win!

Media accreditations opened on January 30, 2024 and for the Men’s Championship closed on April 9, while the deadline for the Women’s Championship is scheduled for April 17, 2024.

– European Gymnastics accepts or rejects your request. The decision will be sent to you by email directly from the system.
