The Foundation Gallery, or a new space dedicated to art in Palazzo Sersanti, which overlooks Piazza Matteotti in Imola at the beginning of the portico (on the corner with Via Emilia). The Cassa di Risparmio di Imola Foundation inaugurates the gallery with an exhibition of the Foundation’s collections entitled “The collections of Palazzo Sersanti” scheduled from today to 23 June (the exhibition can be visited on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 12 and from 4pm to 7pm, Wednesday and Friday from 4pm to 7pm). The useful surface area of ​​the Foundation Gallery is 610 square meters overall. The exhibition space, divided between the ground floor and mezzanine, is 380 m2. Of the seven rooms located on the mezzanine, five are dedicated to exhibitions, one houses a 47 m2 projection room which was dedicated to Raffaele Mazzanti, vice president of the Foundation who recently passed away, and one is a place for meetings or a 33 m2 meeting room, 50 equipped with video conference systems named after the member of the Paolo Dal Fiume Foundation. Two important works from the Foundation’s collections have been positioned in the two new showcases: «Sensations of the soul», a plaster sculpture by Domenico Baccarini from 1903, and «I don’t remember» by Bertozzi & Casoni, a polychrome ceramic created in 2014.
«The collections of Palazzo Sersanti» displays paintings, ceramics, art and craft objects, photographic material, and some models from the Renato Manzoni Archive, made up of more than eight hundred models of women’s footwear handcrafted by Renato Manzoni among the the Thirties and the Eighties of the twentieth century.
