Strong winds, firefighters busy due to fallen trees and damaged cables

Already announced in the last few hours, complete with a weather warning, strong winds have arrived in the province of Varese. Since early afternoon on Tuesday i firefighters were busy with several interventions due to fallen trees and brancheswith some damage in particular to the power lines.

One team, in particular, was busy in Tarabara di Albizzate, the group of houses beyond the A8 motorway: a tree fell on the access road (the only one paved) and has the power line was also damaged medium voltage that powers the houses in the hamlet.

The tree was immediately removed, the work on the Enel network took longer: at 2.30pm 49 users in Albizzate were without power.
Other electricity outages affected the Northern province, a Cuvegliothe Malpensa area a Cardano at the Campand the Ticino valley in the territory of Lonate Pozzolo.

In the Lake Maggiore area on the “pratone” of the lakeside Angera the wind has a large tree felleduprooted with a large “clod” of earth.

The reports concern the entire province, from the borders with Comasco and Lake Maggiore to the Lower Varesotto area near Malpensa.

Among the precautionary measures adopted in the city of Varese was the closure of several parks.
TO Gallarate in the afternoon Bassetti Park was closed due to falling branches (the Civil Protection is intervening for some cuts in the Ronchi district area).
