The Prefect Paolo D’Attilio cross the entrance of Municipality of Avellino at 4.05 pm by the Prefectural Commissioner, accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Prefecture of Avellino, the vice prefect Rosanna Gamerra, who will support him in the role of Sub Commissioner.

A few hours after nomination by the Prefecture of Avellino, in agreement with the Ministry of the Interior, for the temporary guidance of the Municipality’s administration following the resignation of Mayor Gianluca Party, Doctor D’Attilio arrived in the city from Livorno just before lunch time. “The first time I see Avellino“, He says.

First a greeting to the Prefect of Avellino, Paola Spena, at the Government Palace, then the arrival at the City Palace where he was welcomed by the Secretary General Vincenzo Lissa and accompanied to the Mayor’s room on the first floor of the Town Hall

Affable and open to discussion, the Commissioner did not shy away from a brief greeting to the press, although as he said in the introduction, at the moment he has not yet seen the letters and other information, and therefore leaves more in-depth analyzes to subsequent meetings.

At the same time he highlights how his task will last only two months, instead of local elections of 8 and 9 June e so his will only be a role of ordinary management to accompany the Municipality to the inauguration of the new mayor chosen by the voters.

“Prefect Spena mentioned to me the story that led to the suspension of the Municipality, but according to ministerial interpretations it has already reached its natural deadline, so it should go to elections on 8 June”he replied to reporters who asked him whether the ongoing judicial matter could lead to an extension of the institution’s administration.

“About two months is too little time, if something important emerges in this short period, we’ll see”he adds.
