Of great suggestion and evocative power, today’s stage of Tour of Italy: the 6th stage of the 2024 edition, the Torre del Lago Puccini (Viareggio)-Rapolano Terme equal to 180 km. Even today he wins the breakaway with an extraordinary one Pelayo Sanchez who, after the mistake entering the decisive roundabout, recovers and sprints Alaphilippe and leaves in 3rd position Plapp who seemed ready to win. Today’s stage included a program for the group with dirt sections. In total there were 3 special sectors, for around 12 km in total: the first two dirt sections were part of the world-famous route of the White Roads, the third was unpublished. The first 70 km of the day covered by the runners were on flat terrain, without jolts. The script changed with the ascent towards Volterra, with the Fourth category mountain grand prize. The route then encountered a succession of small tears up to the dirt sector Vidritta, where slopes increase up to 15% and selection becomes inevitable.
