Five were issued today by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy stamps ordinary belonging to the thematic series “The Italian artistic and cultural heritage” dedicated to historic theatres: Roman theatre Of Lecce; Greek Theater of Syracuse, on the 110th anniversary of the first cycle of classical shows; Roman theater of Volterra; Greek Theater of Segesta; Roman amphitheater of Suasa, relating to the value of tariff B equal to €1.25 for each stamp. Circulation: 250,020 copies for each stamp. Sheet: forty-five copies for each stamp.

The graphics of the stamp

The stamps are printed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato SpA, in rotogravure, on white, neutral coated, self-adhesive, non-fluorescent paper. Sketches by Tiziana Trinca. The cartoons share the same graphic layout which shows, at the top right, a mask, typical of both the dramas and comedies of ancient theatre, and each depicts details or views from above of the theaters to which the series is dedicated: the Theater Greek from Syracuse; the Roman Theater of Lecce; the Roman Theater of Volterra, the Greek Theater of Segesta and the Roman Amphitheater of Suasa.

You cancel them

First day of issue cancellations are available at the philatelic counters of the post offices of Lecce Centro (Piazza Libertini), Siracusa 2, Volterra (PI), Catalifimi Segesta (TP) and Castelleone di Suasa (AN). The stamps and related philatelic products, postcards, cards and illustrative bulletins will be available at post offices with philatelic counters (in the province of Lecce, beyond Lecce center to Tricase and Maglie), the “Spazio Filatelia” in Florence, Genoa, Milan, Naples , Rome, Rome 1, Turin, Trieste, Venice, Verona and on the website filatelia.poste.it.

For the occasion, a philatelic folder was created for each stamp, in A4 format with three panels, each containing the single stamp, the quadruple of stamps, the canceled and stamped postcard, the first day of issue cover and the illustrative bulletin. at the price of €20 each.
