The educational project “The rules take to the field: the value of the rules” ended yesterday with a football match between a representation of male and female students, members of the world of local institutions and some local testimonials from the sports sector. between sport, school and society”.

The venue for the sporting competition was the Menti Stadium in Vicenza where over a thousand students from the city’s comprehensive schools cheered the teams on the pitch.

The event was organized by the prefecture in collaboration with the territorial school office, the municipality of Vicenza, the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, the Milan Rules Association, the Italian Football Federation and the National Amateur League – delegation from Vicenza, the Italian referees association – “GN Bertoli” section of Vicenza, the sport and health spa company, and with the support of the LR Vicenza Calcio company.

«With the aim of capturing the students’ attention – stated the prefect Salvatore Caccamo – it was agreed to use an effective and stimulating tool, such as sport, a concrete example of the need to foresee and respect a system of rules, which are identified as possibilities and not as limits, in the absence of which one can neither play nor have fun”.

The meeting is part of the prefecture’s initiatives aimed at students regarding education on legality and combating the phenomenon of youth hardship and violence in the area.
