Inauguration in Via Lecce. The day center opens for twenty-five Alzheimer’s patients

Tomorrow, May 22nd at 6.30pm, it will be officially inaugurated Vernole the day center for people suffering from Alzheimer’s, a structure built in Via Lecce.

The operation of this structure has been authorized by the Puglia Region with Det. n. 308 of 26 October 2023 and will have 25 places.

«The opening of the day center for people suffering from Alzheimer’s is a great result for the entire area” declares the mayor Mauro De Carlocontinuing: “It is a service that encompasses many needs of many citizens of our municipality but also of neighboring territories. We are also very proud to have completed a work that comes, like many others completed in this first year of administration, from the government period between 2013 and 2018. I remember that this structure was practically ready at the end of 2018 and was inexplicably closed for several years. We are sure – concludes the mayor – that focusing on personal services, therefore on services that respond to the needs of families and those who take care of our most vulnerable citizens, is an important reason for the growth of the entire community».

The facility will offer multidisciplinary and individualized care services of a semi-residential nature for patients who live in a condition of non-self-sufficiency.
