The vandalism continues, but no step back from Frigato

ROVIGO – The “gifts” for the Rovigo si Ama list are not finished: after the report of yesterday’s torn posters (READ ARTICLE), events repeat.

“We are faced with serious, widespread and systematic episodes, of which I do not remember precedents at this level”. There is dismay in the “Rovigo Si Ama” civic list after the repeated raids which hit election posters in various parts of the city, just a few hours after they were posted. It’s difficult, honestly, to think of vandals who only targeted material from a well-defined list, even taking the trouble to travel almost all of Rovigo to look for them. “We fear that unfortunately there is something else going on”, comments mayoral candidate Federico Frigato.

“The list of raids is still provisional – he continues – None of us, in fact, are professional politicians, we are all people involved in work, who live from this and, therefore, it is not easy to organize ourselves to monitor all the posters. Unfortunately, however, what we are certain of is already sufficient and already advanced.”

In fact, damage was confirmed in via Portello, via Sacro Cuore area, via Fleming, also in the Sacro Cuore area, via Umberto I, via Vittorio Veneto, largo Libertà, viale Marconi at the intersection with viale Porta Adige. “In all these points – continues the mayoral candidate – we are not talking about a single defaced or ruined poster, but practically all the posters devastated, entirely torn off”.

“We don’t have any parties behind us, we don’t have anyone who provides us with funds for the electoral campaign, we finance ourselves and suffering damage of this magnitude is heavy. We are – closes Frigato – faced with something never seen before and worrying. In fact, I do not remember such a systematic and widespread campaign aimed against a single group. In any case, we will not take any steps backwards”.
