To recover the former “Capponi-Recupero” school complex in via Villa Glori, a redevelopment process is needed which will not be simple or even short but it is necessary to start laying the foundations to return the structure to the families in the Picanello neighbourhood. «After the inspection with the councilor Diego Monasteri we realized that the structure is full of dangers especially for the children who play in the nearby children’s park or on the pitch in Piazza Padre Pio – states the president of the II municipality Claudio Carnazza – without gates the buildings seriously damaged are perfectly accessible to children who, driven by curiosity, can put their safety at risk.”

Hence the request to close the area and subsequently start a certain and above all definitive recovery plan. «We are monitoring the situation linked to abandoned properties throughout the “Picanello- Ognina-Barriera-Canalicchio” area – explains the councilor of the 2nd municipality Diego Monasteri – in these conditions the former school cannot even be entrusted to local associations.
