The women’s team of Cv Skating, not satisfied, already certain of first place in the regular season, nevertheless went on to win the last two regular season matches in Vicenza, first beating Old Style Torre Pellice 4-1 and then 2-1 in overtime the hosts of the Devil Girls Vicenza.
The Civitavecchiese were already certain of first place in the rankings and gave ample space to the younger ones who responded to coach Gavazzi’s call and showed off two excellent performances.
“We concluded the excellent journey made during the regular season in style – says the veteran Mara Faravelli – a special applause goes to our little Gloria Padovan who scored the decisive goal in overtime against Vicenza in a situation of numerical inferiority. We are certainly very satisfied with what we have done so far, but now the most important phase begins and therefore we must concentrate on facing the semi-finals.”
Game 1 of the Scudetto semi-final will be held in Milan on Sunday 5 May at 6pm. Race 2 will be held on Saturday 18 May in Civitavecchia, with the possible race 3 also scheduled in Civitavecchia for Sunday 19 May morning. In the other semi-final, Vicenza and Bomporto will face each other.
