The Piedmont Region wants to improve the use of the area around Lake Malciaussia

A project for environmental recovery and improvement of the use of one of the most evocative areas of the Lanzo Valleys, the one around Lake Malciaussia, has been approved in the Piedmont Region. This was announced in recent days by the Northern League councilor Andrea Cane, who underlined how all this was possible «thanks to the synergy with the territories, an approach that gives good results». 256 thousand euros have been allocated for this purpose. «The Piedmont Region aims to make the area more accessible and natural for residents and visitors – explained Andrea Cane – The works will include the removal of the existing car parks along the northern shore of the lake and their reorganization in a less invasive position, the creation of a pedestrian passage direct to the “Vulpot” refuge, and landscape improvements such as the grassing of the dirt track and the installation of new stone benches”.

The signing of the Program Agreement provides for the implementation and reporting of the works by 31 December 2026. Even the mayor of Usseglio Pier Mario Grosso said he was very satisfied «for an intervention of particular importance for the territory to renaturalize the area around the lake.”
