Sassari. Already safe, the men’s A2 table tennis team Sassari picked up another point by drawing 3-3 at home against Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, vice-leader of group A.
Match always lived in pursuit: from 0-1 to 1-1 thanks to Luca Bressan’s victory over Matteo Gualdi. From 1-3 to the definitive 3-3 with the successes of Marco Bressan over Damiano Seretti (in the fifth set, with a score of 11-9) and Marco Poma over Gualdi.
Double draw for the women’s A2 in the Molfetta concentration. The Sassari team achieved a 3-3 draw against the hosts thanks to victories by Fatima Bello, Laura Pinna and Lisa Bressan. Same winners for the 3-3, also a comeback from 1-3, won against Muravera, with Lisa Bressan beating Nicoletta Criscione in the fifth set 11-8. Sassari Table Tennis thus ended its first experience in the women’s second series with a flattering third place in group D.
In the men’s B2, however, the opposite happened, with the Sassari team leading 4-3 in Livorno after the successes of Ganiyu Ashimiyu (hat-trick to end the championship without defeats) and Tonino Pinna. However, the Tuscans first equalized with Stoyanov who defeated Pinna and then snatched the winning point with Andreani who overcame Luca Baraccani.
In the women’s B2, table tennis leaders Sassari won the match against Eureka Roma 4-0 but lost to Giovanni Castello A.
In the men’s C1 table tennis table Sassari lost 5-3 in Rome, with only Alberto Gil Cano beating his opponents.
