«We celebrate Labor Day by recognizing the commitment of two people from BitonVincenzo Caiati and Paolo Tricarico, who receive the today “Star of Merit for Work”. An acknowledgment for their professionalism. An award which, on this day, takes on a particular meaning.”

Thus the mayor of Bitonto, Francesco Paolo Ricci, wanted to pay homage to two fellow citizens who distinguished themselves for their professional merits, the first in Amenduni Spa, the second in Puglia Airports. The ceremony was held yesterday, May 1st, in the enchanting setting of the Petruzzelli Theater in Bari.

«In congratulating the two valid fellow citizens, in fact, we cannot forget the many workers who continue to fight to assert their rights. Young people, an invaluable resource of our society – underlined Ricci – are too often forced to move elsewhere to seek greater fortunes. The precarious workers and the unemployed. Those who, due to work, have lost the most precious gift: life. Let’s continue to work hard to make this day a celebration for everyone. Without distinctions, without compromises”, was the mayor’s conclusion.
