Brescia. Tuesday April 9thwith beginning at 9.30 pmto Enotema del Carmenin via delle Battaglia, 69/B in Brescia, musical evening with Gab De La Vega, acoustic /solo.
Gab De La Vega is a singer-songwriter with a punk and hardcore background. After years of playing music at insane volumes and screaming at the top of his lungs into a microphone, he picked up an acoustic guitar to write sincere and heartfelt songs about everything he felt the need to talk about.
Born in Brescia, Citizen of the World: he does everything to bring his music wherever he can. Over the years he has toured extensively in Europe (over 20 countries, including two UK tours) and also toured the US East Coast, Canada (three times) and South America.
He’s done big shows and small shows, sharing the stage with artists like Frank Turner, Against Me!, Laura Jane Grace, PUP, Chuck Ragan, Joey Cape, Tim Vantol, Kevin Seconds (7 Seconds), Austin Lucas, Ceremony, H2O and many others.
In the summer of 2019 he also started performing in full band format: the first time as Gab De La Vega and The Open Cages was as an opener for Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls. Since then he has played both in full band and solo concerts.
He has released 3 albums, a couple of 7″s and some singles. His third album “Beyond Space and Time” was released in early 2020, while a couple of new singles followed and an appearance on an international vinyl album shared with 6 musicians: Jesse Wagner (The Aggrolites), Vic Ruggiero (The Slackers), Finny McConnell (The Mahones), Lenny Lashley (Street Dogs) and Path.
In 2022 he toured Europe, with lives in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, played with Laura Jane Grace (Against Me!) in Italy and embarked on his third tour of Canada, with 22 dates between Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
He opened a concert for the Canadian band PUP and, last but not least, played full band at Frank Turner’s Lost Evenings Festival in Berlin, at the invitation of the British singer-songwriter, and in two other concerts with The Open Cages in the south of Germany.
In 2023, while preparing the release of his fourth album “Life Burns”, he held a handful of solo concerts in Italy and embarked on the “Road to the Next Chapter Tour” in September, together with his bandmates The Open Cages, to seal the transition between “Beyond Space And Time” and his upcoming album with a series of full band concerts in Italy, Slovenia, Austria and Germany.
Gab De La Vegahttps://linktr.ee/gabdelavega – has signed a deal with SBÄM Records (worldwide) to release “Life Burns” in March 2024, in collaboration with Sell The Heart Records (USA), his own label Epidemic Records (Italy), Motorcity Produzioni (Italy) and Overdrive Records (Italy).
