WEDGE NEWS – Pat the Cinema Monviso in Cuneo, the Councilor for Metro Montagna Sara Tomatis announced the dates of the new edition of the Cuneo Montagna Festival – Tuesday 14 May, Sunday 19 May – and that Tommy Caldwell, the greatest living climber, will inaugurate the edition on May 14th.
Tommy Caldwell, the greatest climber of all time, redefined the concept of “impossible” in rock climbing. Together with Kevin Jorgeson he was the first to climb the Dawn Wall on El Capitan, inside Yosemite Park, California, 900 meters of rock that no one had ever dared to challenge and beat. His legendary exploits proved that what was once considered unachievable can be achieved with tenacity, perseverance and a touch of madness.
On Tuesday 14 May at the Cuneo Montagna Festival, Tommy Caldwell will tell his story and his challenges that have established him as the greatest climber of our era. At 6 pm in the Hall of Honor of the Municipality of Cuneo he will be the protagonist of an official ceremony, and at 9 pm he will meet the public of enthusiasts at the Cuneo Palasport and, with a speech entitled “Anything is possible”, will tell his incredible story of challenges won against all odds.
