Easter and Easter Monday are traditionally days of celebration and joy, and what is more joyful and fascinating than the vision of colorful butterflies dancing freely in an enchanted garden? Also this year, the Butterfly House, both in Ragusa and Palermo, launches special openings on the occasion of the extended Easter weekend. Continuous opening hours from 10am to 7pm for both Easter and Easter Monday and so on, with the arrival of spring, also for all public holidays to offer an unforgettable experience for all visitors. The “Mimì Arezzo” Commercial Cultural Center in via Matteotti in Ragusa and the splendid Villa Filippina in Palermo have already been transformed into fairy-tale scenarios where butterflies are the absolute protagonists. The special openings will offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of this enchanted world, where dozens of species of butterflies from all over the world fly freely, creating a breathtaking spectacle of colors and movements.

THE UNIQUENESS OF BUTTERFLIES

From yellow to green, from red to blue, each butterfly brings with it its uniqueness, making every encounter a magical moment to capture in photos and always remember. Crossing the threshold of this “Butterfly House” is like opening the doors to an enchanted world, where time seems to slow down and worries vanish in the light flight of iridescent wings. The sunlight filters through the green foliage of the plants, creating plays of shadows and reflections that dance on the wings of the butterflies, providing an unparalleled visual spectacle. But the “Butterfly House” is not just a sight for the eyes; it is also a unique opportunity for learning and knowledge.

Thanks to the educational paths and activities curated by the scientific director Antonio Bruno and his staff, visitors can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of butterflies, discovering the secrets of their life cycle and the crucial role they play in the ecosystem, moving from the chrysalis to the caterpillar until the wonderful transformation into a butterfly. “Through educational and environmental education courses, school groups and all those who want to deepen their knowledge of nature will have the opportunity to explore this fascinating world, understanding the importance of conservation and respect for all forms of life that populate our planet – explains Giovanni Gurrieri, municipal councilor for the historic centers of Ragusa – With the mayor Peppe Cassì and the rest of the municipal council we strongly wanted the presence of the particular structure in the heart of our city with the aim of enhancing this area more and more and also offering tourists an additional attraction”. And there is great interest in Palermo too. The Butterfly House has been in the Sicilian capital for some years now, touching different locations, and in Villa Filippina, where it landed last year, right next to the magnificent Teatro Massimo, it continues to promote culture and the beauty of nature, offering the inhabitants and visitors a unique opportunity for discovery and wonder. The “Butterfly House”, both in Ragusa and Palermo, can be visited every day, even on holidays. Information on the website www.lacasadellefarfalle.com and on social channels.
