Jack Miller is KTM’s leading standard bearer. The Australian centaur raced for many in Ducati, cooperating in winning the constructors’ titles.

Jack Miller said goodbye to Ducati after four unforgettable years. The Townsville rider jumped on a motorbike at the age of five. After making his debut on dirt roads in 2009, he began to take his first steps on the road, racing in the 125 class of the Australian ASBK and MRRDA championships. After winning in the latter category he moved to the Old Continent.

The Australian began competing in the Spanish and German championships, becoming champion in the IDM 125 in Germany. He made his debut in the MotoGP world championship in 2011 with a wild card at the Sachsenring riding an Aprilia RSA 125 of the RZT Racing team. From the San Marino Grand Prix, with the exception of Aragon, he replaced Péter Sebestyén in the Caretta Technology team. After second place in Moto3 in 2014 with KTM he was catapulted directly into MotoGP.

The Tokyo house saw potential in the champion. The physical structure was already top class, but at just 20 years old it could have been lost. The Australian, however, demonstrated his ability to compete among the greats riding a Honda RC213V-RS with Open specifications, in the LCR team.

In the following season, again with Honda, he achieved his first success in the top class, dominating the Assen Grand Prix. That triumph changed the Townsville native’s life. After another super consistent season in Honda, Ducati decided to include him alongside Pecco Bagnaia in the Pramac team.

The Italian had a sensational effort to keep up with the Australian. Jack ended the first year with the Borgo Panigale factory in 13th place with 91 points. In the following year he celebrated 5 podiums, applying for a seat in the factory team. Miller could have succeeded Stoner in the Rossa’s roll of honor and his lack of results in the official racing team was a surprise.

There are drivers who exalt themselves at the top and others who, however, when faced with the opportunity of a lifetime, waste it. Surprisingly, Pecco Bagnaia emerged with arrogance, winning the duel and the title in 2022. Miller moved to KTM to find himself in the world champion team after the bittersweet experience.

Jack Miller’s family

The Australian KTM rider published when he became a father photos of little Pip Florence on Instagramborn from the union with his wife Ruby: “On September 14, 2023 our lives changed: welcome to our little Pip Florence Miller, we love you more than you can imagine. Ruby and I thank everyone for your messages“.

The dimensions of the Australian centaur

Jack is 173 cm tall and weighs 64 kg. Compared to his colleagues he has a more robust structure, but remains on a strict diet to maintain his feather weight. In his career he has achieved 10 successes, reaching the podium on 33 occasions. Ten times he started from pole position, resulting in a chip on the flying lap.

Miller’s salary

Jack receives 3 million euros net per year from the Austrian company. An important figure that is second only to the world champions Marc Marquez, Fabio Quartararo, Pecco Bagnaia and the Aprilia standard-bearer Maverick Vinales. Miller didn’t find the right feeling on the KTM, crashing often and rarely having a good day. He could be ousted at the end of the year by the young GasGas rider Pedro Acosta.
