A “censored” interview. Because of this Paolo Maldini seems intent on denouncing those who sabotaged the interview granted to Alessandro Alciato For Radio Serie A, the official radio TV of the Serie A football league. It is not yet clear who the former captain is angry with Milan, nor what type of censorship it is, since the interview was broadcast regularly. The doubt, at this point, is that it was cut in some parts deemed compromising, or simply that there was pressure not to broadcast it. Maldini was director of the technical area of Milan until June 2023, and was the protagonist of the scudetto won in 2022.

In any case, through his lawyer Danilo Good morning, the 55-year-old Maldini “in the face of the well-known censorship of his interview on Radio Serie A (i.e. the official Radio TV of the Serie A football League) on May 9th, communicates that he has already appointed” his defender “for his protection from such serious behavior unjustly suffered”. The note specifies that “the lawyer Danilo Buongiorno, in the name and on behalf of Mr. Paolo Maldini, warns anyone from repeating such behavior and reserves, if necessary, any action to protect his client; and to defend the right fundamental of freedom of expression“.

Alciato himself, who conducted the interview, had spoken on social media in recent days about “pressures so as not to broadcast it”. And turning to Maldini he said: “your freedom of thought always makes the difference”. The comment on X by a colleague from Alciato was also very mischievous, Maurizio Pistocchi: “No one wonders why the excellent Alessandro Alciato interrupted his collaboration with Radio TV Serie A after his wonderful interview with Paolo Maldini? No one wonders why the interview disappeared from the broadcaster’s channel for an entire day on Youtube? Nobody wonders if there was undue pressure on the Lega Serie A and on RDS official to limit the diffusion of the interview, and by whom? Nobody wonders if all this is normal?”.
