There Lombardy region has launched a package of incentives intended for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises who focus on environmental sustainability in their vehicle fleet. With a budget of 5.94 million euros for the two-year period 2024-2025, this initiative aims to encourage theadoption of vehicles with low environmental impactboth electrical and thermal.

Scrapping is mandatory here, unlike the state ecobonus

The beneficiaries of these benefits will be able to enjoy a bonus that varies based on the type of vehicle purchased: from 1,500 euros for scooters up to 30,000 euros for heavier vehicles. E-cargo bikes, vans and buses are also among the subsidized vehicles. However, there are conditions that must be respected: it is necessary to scrap a petrol vehicle up to and including Euro 2, or diesel up to and including Euro 5, and companies active in the vehicle trade sector are not eligible.

As for the timing, the window to apply for the 2024 financing line will open today at 10 am will close on October 31, 2024, or until funds run out. While for the following year’s bonuses, the opening will be on December 2, 2024 at 10 am, with closing on September 30, 2025 at 4 pm.

It is important to note that the application must be submitted before the actual purchase of the vehicle, following a process that involves booking the resource and assigning it based on the chronological order in which the request was sent electronically. For further technical details you can consult the specific Unioncamere Lombardia web page.

It is essential to understand the difference between state incentives and local ones: while in the first case the consumer does not have to take any action (the dealership manages the bonus), in the case of local incentives it is the buyer himself who must take action.
