The head of Mobile leaves Cremona: “Three intense and challenging years”

After three years at the helm of the Flying Squad of the Cremona Police Headquarters, the deputy commissioner Marco Masia leaves the city of Torrazzo to move to Rimini, where he will be in command of the local Flying Squad. 35 years old, from Cagliari, Masia, in the police since 2016, had arrived in Cremona in April 2021 after an experience in Brescia as deputy head of the Mobile and before that in Treviso as director of the Flying Squad.

“They have been three very intense and very demanding years both from a personal and professional point of view, the most significant of my career so far,” said the manager, who leaves “with a hint of sadness” the province of Cremona, the people of Cremona and police headquarters. The deputy commissioner wanted to thank the commissioner Michele Davide Sinigaglia, all his fellow officials and above all his collaborators from Mobile, around twenty agents, “men and women who in these three years have contributed to achieving significant results, giving an important response in terms of the repression of crimes to what are the legitimate expectations of citizens”.

The fight against drugs, predatory crimes, a focus on combating the crimes of the so-called “red code” and many investigative operations which have made it possible to reach the solution of many cases handled by the office led by Masia. “The operations that gave greater satisfaction”, added the manager, “perhaps involved slightly smaller activities in particularly heinous crimes, such as those against vulnerable groups, such as fraud on the elderly or thefts in supermarkets which are always against elderly people, and obviously the immense activity regarding code red and gender violence. Without forgetting the anti-drug activity, which has often given important answers.”

“Cremona”, concluded the manager, “is a safe reality also thanks to the profound collaboration between all the police forces, and in the case of the State Police also thanks to the activity of prevention and repression of crimes, as well as naturally to all administrative measures under the jurisdiction of the police commissioner”.

“A very good official who we are very reluctant to lose,” Commissioner Sinigaglia wanted to underline for his part. “But on the other hand, this is our career and we must move towards important goals. My hope is that he can achieve ever greater success.”
